A Flameproof Heater is packaged in an approved flameproof enclosure, which safely envelops any spark or overheating inside and prevents ignition of the surrounding dangerous atmosphere. Such heaters are manufactured in accordance with grades of standards, making them suitable for mounting in Zone 1 & Zone 2 classified areas when Gas Groups IIA, IIB, or IIC are present.
The heater case can be offered in high-grade cast aluminum alloy “LM6” or stainless steel, which gives excellent resistance to corrosion, abrasion, and harsh industrial environments. High-grade flame-proof joints and heating elements are used to provide complete explosion protection with reliable thermal performance.
